GDC Europe Overview

Introduction

The Game Developers Conference Europe™ (GDC Europe) is the world’s largest professionals-only game industry event in Europe. Presented every fall in Cologne, it is the essential forum for learning, inspiration, and networking for the creators of computer, console, handheld, mobile, and online games.

GDC Europe attracts over 2,000 attendees, and is the primary forum where programmers, artists, producers, game designers, audio professionals, business decision-makers and others involved in the development of interactive games gather to exchange ideas and shape the future of the industry. GDC Europe is produced by UBM TechWeb Game Network, a division of UBM TechWeb, LLC.

Expo

The most innovative companies in the world exhibit at the GDC Europe Expo demonstrating the tools developers use to create the games that will be on store shelves two to three years from now.

  • Individual conference session recordings can be no longer than five minutes in length, and can only consist of the first five minutes of the session.
  • Conference session footage taken at the event must be used as B-roll only with replay of 5 minutes total of the GDC at the most.
